Rosie, formerly known as Roxy, has a lot to be thankful for.
She was cruelly abandoned—left alone in a home with no access to food, water, or a way to call for help. Days passed, but no one came. It’s a miracle she survived.
At DARS, we never forget the pain animals like Rosie endure. But we choose to focus on something stronger: their resilience. Rosie didn’t just survive—she overcame. And when she was finally safe, her sweet and loving spirit shone through.
Her adoptive family saw that spirit instantly. One look was all it took—they knew she belonged with them. And Rosie knew it too.
Today, she’s not just safe—she’s cherished. She’s a child’s best friend, a loyal companion, and a living testament to second chances.
