Did you know? Simply by linking your Kroger Plus card to DeSoto Animal Rescue Society, Kroger will donate a portion of your everyday purchases to us—at no extra cost and without affecting your Fuel Points!

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Visit kroger.com/communityrewards (or open the Kroger app).
  2. Sign in (or create a free digital account if you haven’t yet).
    • You’ll need your Kroger Plus card or its associated phone number/email.
  3. Once logged in, navigate to “Community Rewards” under “My Account.”
  4. Click “Enroll Now” or “Choose Organization.”
  5. Search by name: DeSoto Animal Rescue Society (or type a few letters and select us when it appears).
  6. Click Save to link your account.
  7. Whenever you shop and scan your Kroger Plus card or use your Alt ID, Kroger donates toward DARS.

How it works:

  • Sign up at iGive.com (no cost to you or DARS).
  • Select DeSoto Animal Rescue Society as your cause.
  • Shop using either the iGive website, browser button/extension, or mobile app at 1,600+ partner stores.
  • Retailers pay iGive a commission, which becomes a donation to DARS—you pay normal prices, no extra fees and it doesn’t affect sales or Fuel Points.
  • Donations are collected after return windows close and distributed monthly

Quick Setup Steps:

  1. Go to iGive.com and register (email/password or via Facebook).
  2. Choose DeSoto Animal Rescue Society as your cause.
  3. Browse or install the iGive Button to automatically activate donations at checkout.
  4. Shop as usual—donations add up behind the scenes!

How it works:

  • Download the free WoofTrax app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • Sign up and under Select Charity, search for “DeSoto Animal Rescue Society” to link DARS.
  • Each tracked walk of ¼ mile or more earns “Charity Points” that convert into donations via app sponsors.

Tips to Maximize Impact:

  1. Don’t have a dog? You can still walk with a virtual companion in the app.
  2. Walk at least once weekly to remain “active” for DARS.
  3. Join virtual walking groups or challenges to boost donations.

Feeds a foster pet for a week with nutritious food and tasty treats.

🧡 $25 – Comfort & Joy

Provides a month of food, treats, and a new toy for a foster pet.

💙 $50 – Wellness Boost

Covers food and helps pay for critical vet trips and comfort items.

❤️ $100 – Healthy Start

Fully covers a pet’s initial vet care: vaccinations, testing, and spay/neuter surgery.

⭐ $250 – Full Foster Sponsor

Funds nearly every expense for a foster pet until adoption—including food, medical care, and all the love they need.

Every Sponsorship Level Receives

  • A special thank you on our Facebook page and website (opt-out available)
  • A personalized note from the foster family
  • Photos of your pet enjoying the toys, treats, or comfort you made possible

Full Foster Care Sponsors ($250 sponsors) also receive private cuddle & play visits with the foster animal (as arranged locally)

Honor a beloved pet or person by making a donation in their memory or name. Tributes are a meaningful way to celebrate life while helping animals in need.

How It Works:

  • Make a donation using our [Donate Page →]
    Choose “In Honor/Memory Of” when prompted.
  • Include your tribute message in the donation form.
    You’ll have space to enter a name and optional message.
  • If you’d like, your tribute will be shared on our [Tributes & Memorials Page →].

📷 You’re welcome to send us a photo after donating. We’ll include it with your tribute if appropriate.

Many employers offer donation matching programs that will match your donation to DARS—sometimes even for retired employees or volunteer hours!

Prefer giving tangible help? Our fosters and animals always need essentials, either new or lightly used. Here’s how you can help:
