At DARS, our mission is to give every companion animal a better quality of life through foster care, adoption, education, and advocacy.

Who We Are

Founded in DeSoto County, Mississippi, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization run entirely by volunteers. Our team works tirelessly to rescue abandoned, abused, and unwanted cats and dogs, giving them a second chance in loving homes.
