Hope’s story began with a horrifying act of cruelty—this amazing little girl was thrown from a moving vehicle in a busy store parking lot.

Miraculously, she wasn’t injured and scrambled out of the way of oncoming traffic just in time. Even more miraculously, one of DARS’ own volunteers witnessed the entire thing and ran to her rescue. She scooped up the frightened pup and gave her a promise: You’ll never be thrown out like trash again.

That promise was kept.

Hope was placed into a loving foster home, and it wasn’t long before she found a forever family who makes sure she knows what it means to be cherished. Today, she is safe, adored, and never far from a warm blanket or a kind hand.
